How it works

Extraction you can inspect.

We use two different parsing methods to read the text and tables. Inconsistent bank statement extractions between the two parsers are resolved using AI review.

  1. 01

    Read

Selectable text, word positions, and table structure produce traceable transaction candidates.

  2. 02

    Check

We run exact decimal arithmetic checks on running balances, totals, dates, currencies, and duplicates.

  3. 03

    Review

You can quickly review every row, then download JSON. Warnings for each row are included in the exported data.

Questions

Before you upload

Is my bank statement stored?

The source PDF is deleted after processing. Access to the private generated JSON file and extracted results ends after your first download or at 24 hours, whichever comes first; automated deletion follows shortly afterward.

Is it safe to use the bank statement converter?

Your files are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible. The source PDF is deleted after processing, and access to the converted file and extracted results ends after your first download or 24 hours; automated deletion follows shortly afterward. Only upload statements you are authorized to process.

What if a row has a warning?

You can still download it. The warning appears beside the row and in the exported file, so you know what to check.

What types of bank statements are supported?

We support digital PDF statements from banks and credit-card providers when the PDF contains selectable text, up to 10 pages.

Are scanned PDF files supported?

Not yet. For now, the converter works with digital PDFs that contain selectable text. Support for scanned and image-only bank statements is coming.

Can Google Sheets import a bank statement page?

Google Sheets cannot import a bank statement PDF directly. Convert the statement to CSV first, then use File → Import in Google Sheets to upload the CSV and work with the transactions in a spreadsheet.

Which banks are supported?

Transformy supports digital PDF statements from Chase, Bank of America, Capital One, HSBC, Barclays, Citi, Wells Fargo, Santander, BNP Paribas, ING, and many other banks. The PDF just needs to contain selectable text.
